Jack DeQuarto

1938 – 2026

Jack DeQuarto, age 88, passed on Sunday, July 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. Jack was born in Brooklyn, NY on January 29, 1938, and was a long-time resident of Commack and Hauppauge, NY.

Jack attended Brooklyn College and began his career in the banking industry. He served as Vice President of Reliance Federal Savings & Loan for 23 years, but his longtime passion for cooking and the restaurant business took him down another path. His experience at the Huntington Townhouse and the Narragansett Inn prepared him for his ultimate venture, The Imperial Manor. Over the course of 30 years, Jack helped make thousands of dreams come true for countless brides and grooms, and his reputation as an outstanding caterer brought him recognition throughout the industry. His final venture was as Pancake King at IHOP. Through all his ventures, he was most proud of, and will be most remembered for, the mentorship, friendship, and guidance he offered to his countless employees. Their success brought him great joy.

Jack was blessed with a large, devoted family. He is survived by his best friend and wife of 65 years, Angela DeQuarto; his devoted children, Helen DeJohn and her husband Nick DeJohn, and John DeQuarto; and his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy: Alec Manfre and his wife Isabella Manfre, Michael Belsito, and Christian Belsito. Jack is finally reunited with his beloved parents, John and Helen DeQuarto, and his siblings, whom he has missed dearly: Dominick, Peter, Concetta, and John.

With an unwavering love for his family and friends, Jack found the greatest joy in some of life’s simplest pleasures. Jack loved food, entertaining, and above all, making others happy.
